RockSpan is a privately held company. The principal shareholders are experienced mining executives instrumental in discovering mines in Australia. The Company owns significant exploration holdings in Australia’s mineral rich state of Queensland.
RockSpan’s holdings are immediately adjacent to the fabled Mt Isa Copper Lead Zinc Mine and the City of Mt Isa.
Mount Isa orebody was discovered almost 100 years ago and has grown from Australia’s first ‘company town’ into one of the largest and most important industrial powerhouses in the nation.
The mine is a Giant copper-zinc-silver-lead Orebody and is the centrepiece of the Carpentaria Minerals Province of NW Queensland.
It has produced at least 300 Mt @ 3% Copper 110 Mt 145 g/t Silver 6% Lead 6% Zinc since 1935.
Mt Isa city has a regular population of 20,000 and is the principal service centre for NW Queensland and the adjacent Northern Territory.
RockSpan sees a great opportunity to discover a significant copper dominated orebody in its wholly owned tenements, which would become mill feed for Mt Isa.
We also value the opportunity to discover highly valued “critical minerals” used in futuristic technologies which occur rarely in Australia.
